What's PSP Steel?

PSP Steel is pretreated steel laminated by Synthetic Resin Films on both sides via an unique pressing process at high temperature.

PSP Steel combines both the advantages of steel and resin, is an innovative material for building systems, providing long service life with high resistance to corrosion, climate and mechanical damage.

Outstanding Corrosion-Resistance Performance

PSP Steel has become a preferable building material in recent years. The reason why PSP Steel is preferable than other commonly-used PVDF coated steel and Acrylic coated steel lies in its advantages in corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, fire resistance and service life. The following is the 120 hours long comparison experiment conducted in the lab.

Recommended applications


Flammable, explosive and corrosive substances are easily generated in chemical plants. In addition, most solutions in chemical plants are multicomponent solutions which are extremely corrosive. Therefore, the corrosion rating and fire rating of the roofing and the wall panels must be fully considered during designation.

Chemical enterprises in the easy to produce flammable, explosive, easy to corrupt items, all kinds of solutions are mostly mixed solution, highly corrosive, so the plant design needs to take full account of the roof, wall materials, corrosion and fire rating factor. Coastal area and seafood processing
There are numerous corrosive mediums such as sodium chloride in coastal areas due to its sat fog climate. The air in seafood workshop contains saline and chloride substances. Besides, disinfectors made of strong oxidants are also used in seafood workshop. All these substances are highly erosive. Steel coil achieves better anti-corrosion effect in these situations.

The extraction workshop, leaching workshop, electrolysis workshop, roasting workshop in non-ferrous metallurgy are all the key places for anti-corrosion design. The massive use of strong acid and strong alkali in the production causes severe corrosion to the plant, the equipment and its building system. Therefore, building materials made of steel plate has the advantages both in its service life and performance.

Agricultural/ Farming
There are a lot of animal feces farms. The animal feces contains hydrogen sulfide, skatole, aldehydes, thiols, amines and ammonia which have high concentration and not easy to dilute. They are extremely erosive to building materials in the plants in damp conditions. Plastic steel plate have been tested more resistant to corrosion and moisture than other common plates.

Electrolytic aluminium production
Fluorides, sulfides, bitumen, smoke, carbon monoxide are easily produced during processing in the plants. Hydrogen fluoride activates with moisture in the air to produce hydrofluoric acid which are extremely erosive.This is the reason why so many customers have the demand for plastic steel with even higher performance.

Mining area
There are electrical hazards and corrosive substances during mineral processing. Electric sparks cause fire very easily. The fireproof level of the building materials are very high. The nitric acid and concentrated nitric acid used in the production are highly erosive.

Ammonia and carbon dioxide are the raw materials for the production of chemical fertilizer. Ammonia and carbon dioxide are supplied by the ammonia synthesis system. In the process of synthetic ammonia production, a large amount of corrosive gases such as ammonia, chlorine, sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide are produced

Textile Printing & Dyeing
A large amount of acid and alkali are used in the production process of chemical fiber. Sulfur, sulfuric acid, sulfate and other corrosive substances are ultimately produced.

For example: In polyester production, the main corrosive medium is acetic acid. A large amount of heavy metal salt (chromium, copper, mercury, cadmium, dysprosium) exist in the color matching workshop, pulp adjusting workshop, printing workshop and dyeing workshop. So, the anti-corrosion demand of the plants is very high. Plastic steel is a safer building material.
